LIFE CHURCH – Cleaner

  • Salary: £7.50 per hour
  • Hours: Part time 16 hours/week
  • Split over 5 days 1 of them being a Saturday

Life Church is an exciting, enthusiastic Christian community which is currently operating with a hub in Bedworth and many different expressions throughout the Nuneaton and Bedworth borough.

The congregation has been established for over 40 years and is part of the Assemblies of God network of churches. Over the last 3 years the church has seen growth with a congregation of around 350 people gathering for worship on a Sunday and a whole host of different church community expressions reaching the surrounding communities Monday to Saturday.

We are seeking a cleaner who is experienced and reliable. Please see below for Job Description.

Applicants need to note that this is an important role in the life of the church with the role holder being skilled to provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.  Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel who can demonstrate the above qualities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to:             Line Manager

Based at:                 Life Church, Bedworth

Hours:                              16 per/week

Salary:                              £6240.00 per annum

Summary of Core Role

  • Responsible for cleaning the main building of Life Church ensuring the general appearance is maintained in accordance with the required standards

Specific Duties

  • Clean All Glass
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas
  • Sweep and mop uncarpeted areas and corridors, including stage (vac if necessary)
  • Empty bins in offices, vac offices and dust office areas
  • Clean all toilets (including fixtures, mopping floors, replacing hand towels, bin liners, toilet rolls, etc)
  • Dust surfaces, skirting and high corners (including trunking, pipes ,light switches, toilet dispensers)
  • Clean other rooms as required i.e.upstairs conference rooms, Coffee Stop
  • Responsible for the general cleanliness and tidiness of the overall church making sure it presents excellence in line with the standard required
  • Monitor and manage cleaning equipment and supplies ensuring sufficient stocks and stock rotation and availability
  • Report faulty equipment and other maintenance requirements and ensure that equipment is kept in a clean condition and checked prior to each use
  • Ensure that cleaning storage areas are kept in a clean, tidy and hygienic condition and locked after use

The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description for the post. The particular duties and responsibilities attached may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed.
