As fantastic as our church services are it’s also important for us to meet in smaller more intimate groups for support, bible study and prayer. Life groups do exactly this, providing a more casual place to connect with Christians within the church and to study the bible in an informal environment.
Life groups meet in the homes of partners within the church on the first and third week of the month on either a Tuesday or Thursday. We have groups running in various locations right across Nuneaton, Bedworth, Coventry and Arley.
Every group is different and the ‘programme’ is determined by the life group leaders. Some groups are designed for new Christians discussing the basics of the faith and some groups are aimed at more mature Christians who enjoy deep biblical studies. Life groups are for everyone within the church; whatever your taste or however far you are on your journey we have got a Life group for you.
How do I get involved?
Getting involved is easy, all it requires is filling in your information in the box in this page and clicking ‘Apply’. Let us know any transport issues, how long you’ve been a christian and any friends you’ve got in other groups in the ‘further information’ box. From this Ralph will get back in contact with you with some allocation choices. It’s a simple process and we will try and make it as smooth as possible.
Here are some brief descriptions of the life groups written by the leaders themselves… (click on their names to see their description)
Andy & Liz Blaxhall
Our life group has been running in Nuneaton for a number of years attracting a variety of different people from across the area served by Life Church.
The group enjoys the rich variety of experiences that all the members bring, whether single, married, male, female, new Christian or older Christian. We aim to grow together both inside and outside our meetings, encouraging and supporting each other.
When we meet together we encourage different members to lead us in worship, study and applying the Bible, praying and socialising in a friendly setting.
Andy & Lis Gentles
Andy and Liz Gentles have been attending Lifechurch for five years and lifegroup leaders for 18 months. Our lifegroup is based in Bedworth. We are a group of 10-12 people that meet on the first and third thursday of the month. Our age range is early twenties to late fifties, so we have different experiences and wisdom. We really love to socialise and connect wiith one another in the week. We also enjoy reading and discussing the Bible. We have had some amazing prayer times and have seen God impact our meetings. We hope and pray that this will go from strength to strength., and we will see more of God in our lives.
Richard & Anna Hancock
Pat Edmiston
Life Group has offered a place to relax and to make friends. We enjoy Pat’s hospitality and together we pray and discuss Bible related topics. What we do is interactive and we all take part. We have used study material provided by Life Church eg. “If you Want to Walk on Water, You’ve got to get out of the Boat” and “The Life you’ve always Wanted” by John Ortberg. Both of these were thought provoking. John’s teaching style on DVD is very effective.
Our prayer times too have been beneficial and we have seen many answers in group members lives. We also enjoy gathering socially around food. we are almost certainly not the lowest calorie Life Group!
Jon & Karen Beardmore
Our Lifegroup is always fun! We are a relaxed group who like to share life together helping each other whenever we need it. Me meet every second Thursday in Galley Common and our evenings consist of lots of tea and coffee, bible study, thinking and talking about life and praying for and with each other.

John & Eunice Bromley
John and Eunice Bromley have been ministers of Assemblies of God since 1964. They are joined by Richard and Angela Watson, a couple with a young and growing family, in leading a vibrant cross-generational Life Group, meeting in the heart of Bedworth on the first and third Tuesday of every month. They are passionate about seeing everyone develop their full potential in God.
Our group members come from diverse backgrounds and as such have a great variety of interests which all adds to the fun we have together!
Most of the group are involved in and have responsibilities within other activities in the life of Life Church and as such find the time spent together and the support received from one another invaluable and a source of great encouragement.
Brenda Evans & Lorna Beedham
This group was established to support women who are either new to their faith or returning to the church. It meets fortnightly on a Thursday evening. The focus is on what it means to be a Christian and how to grow in our faith. This involves discussion, Bible study and listening to music, literature etc… . The ethos of the group is ‘no question is a stupid question’. The group members also meet socially, pray for each other and involve themselves in other church groups and activities.
