Noah’s Ark Pre-School and Crèche aims to provide high quality affordable early education and childcare for the community in a safe stimulating Christian environment.

Staff
We have a dedicated and experienced staff team, all of whom have suitable childcare qualifications. All our staff are police checked and there is always a first aider available on the premises. Staff regularly attend training to update their knowledge and practice.

Each child is placed in a small group with an allocated member of staff known as a Key Person; ensuring individual attention is given to the needs and development of each child. Key Persons are responsible for monitoring children’s progress and keeping Learning Journals for each child in their group.
Our ratios are:
1 adult to 3 children for under 2’s
1 adult to 4 children for 2 year olds
1 adult to 8 children for 3-4 year olds.

Pre-School
The Pre-School is open Monday – Friday from 8:30am-4:00pm during term time, offering sessional, extended care with lunch club and full day care to children from 2-5years old.

The Pre-School is registered with Ofsted and is regularly inspected on its standards of care and education.
The Pre-School operates from a large room offering a range of activities and experiences that support children’s development and allows them to learn through play, based on the principles and guidance of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Children can participate in both child initiated and adult directed activities during a time of free play. Activities are planned according to the needs and interests of individual or small groups of children. During the session children also have the opportunity to play in our outdoor learning environment and are also provided with a snack. At the end of the session children meet with their Key Person to share songs, stories and news together and take part in focused activities. These are specifically planned to support the group’s individual needs and stage of development.

Nursery Education Funding is available to children the term after their 3rd birthday; entitling them to receive 15 hours free care per week.
We are also able to offer 2 year funding for children who meet specific criteria. Please enquire for more details.

The Crèche is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am-11:25am during term time for children from 6 months to 3 years old.

A typical session allows your child to explore, discover and learn through play, based on the principles and guidance of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We provide a variety of activities and experiences such as art and craft, sensory and tactile opportunities, imaginative play and construction and outdoor play. A snack is provided during the session. The session ends with music and movement, singing and story time.
Crèche operates on a first come first served basis. Places should be booked a week in advance, so we can ensure we have appropriate staffing ratios. On busier days there may be occasions where we are unable to offer the days you have requested due to staff availability.
You can try your first 2 sessions for free!
Crèche fees: £7.00 per session.
