New Friends is a group which is aimed at anyone over the age of 50, meeting every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 12.00 til 2.00pm in Bedworth at the Christian Centre main hall. There’s a two course hot meal followed by a variety of speakers, quizzes and games. There are also special events at Christmas, Easter and a two day event called Holiday at Home in the summer which generally involve lots of food, crafts, games and entertainment.
New Friends serves to provide friendship and God’s love to people at a time when life can often be challenging for many reasons. The hot meals in the winter particularly are much appreciated and of course sharing a meal and conversation with someone else is something that some of them no longer have on a daily basis.
