EXPLORING THE BIBLE

exploringthebiblebutton
A six week course taking place on a Tuesday evening at the Christian Centre, Bedworth.

Week 1 - The Language Barrier
Week 2 - The Literature Question
Week 3 - The Time Barrier
Week 4 - The Cultural Barrier
Week 5 - The Barrier of Geography
Week 6 - How to ask the right questions

If we learn to set each verse in its chapter and book context and to routinely ask the right questions of the text the whole thing comes together like a big jig-saw puzzle. The Word of God should always be approached with humility and prayer for spiritual revelation, however with the correct background negotiated we can ask what the word meant to its first hearers and find its relevance to us today.

“ONE THING” - Prayer Course

onethingbuttonA six week course taking place on a Tuesday evening at the Christian Centre, Bedworth.

Week 1 - Introduction - Invitation to Prayer/Objection to prayer/Why we pray/
What prayer does

Week 2 – Adoration (The Gate)
Week 3 – Consecration (Outer Court)
Week 4 – Thanksgiving (Inner Court)
Week 5 – Supplication (Holy of Holies)
Week 6 - Prayer time

The fact is that we are too busy not to pray – we don’t want to build our lives with wood, hay and stubble. The Old Testament is full of examples that we can apply to our lives in many areas. The One Thing prayer course show us the steps that God initiated in the tabernacle of Moses to allow his people to approach Him and how we can apply them to our lives today for a vibrant, healthy prayer life.
