Church Planting

Constanta is placed on the southeast corner of Romania on the coast of the Black Sea and is, by far, the most economically, socially and spiritually deprived part of the country.

As one of the largest and oldest cities of Romania with a population of 500,000, Constanta is one of the least evangelised. Our friends Traian and Elena Pascaulu, pioneers of the community minded church 'Good News Church', initiated the Old City church plant which Matthew and Estera Duru are currently pastoring. Recently they have witnessed God at work changing the lives of children, young people and families as a result of weekly visits to Turkish families. The ‘kids' club’ has 15 to 25 children attending each week. The church is also starting a dance academy aimed at building a bridge to the community and recently launched its first house group.

The Balkans

Lifechurch is exploring the potential mission opportunities in the Balkans region, starting in the Republic of Serbia.

Serbia - Exploring the Potential

Serbia, with a population of 10.7 million, represents a nation with a troubled past but with huge potential. The country has a record of conflict; the capital, Belgrade, has been destroyed 40 times throughout history. Being the least evangelised nation in Europe and there being more heroin addicts in Serbia than believers, makes this nation a prime target for God’s grace.
